Fixed carbon

The part that actually burns and gives heat. Higher means longer-lasting, more efficient charcoal.

Ash

The non-combustible residue. Low-ash charcoal is cleaner and needs less clearing — important for shisha and restaurants.

Moisture

High moisture causes hard lighting, smoke and popping. Well-dried charcoal is the basis of low-odour charcoal.

How to request specs

Ask for written ranges in the quotation and agree the test method. Jzour product specs are confirmed per order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there zero-ash charcoal?
